This site-specific ensemble performance operates as a radical act of mourning and a spatial intervention dedicated to "the wild"—the marginalized, non-human entities, and systemic outcasts excluded from dominant socio-political structures. Grounded in the ongoing research into non-Western lineages and ritualistic methodologies, the work challenges normative frameworks of recognition by carving out a space for those relegated to the periphery.
The performance deploys ritual as an active, somatic methodology. Seven performers navigate the outdoor environment through a choreography of elemental forces, engaging with the ceremonial offering of water. These visceral actions function as conduits for primal purification and communal healing, transforming an everyday landscape into a temporary, permeable sanctuary.
Driven by collective chants, rhythmic breathing, and synchronized bodily movements, the polyphonic presence of the performers disrupts conventional viewing dynamics. By intertwining physical endurance with sonic resonance, the work invites the audience into a tacit solidarity of care. It blurs the threshold between the tangible site and the unseen forces it honors, asking how artistic practice can actively host, rather than merely depict, the overlooked ecology of the wild.
